Vicki Tully founded VJG Jewellery (the ‘VJG’ her maiden name initials that are her registered hallmark)

After discovering her love of jewellery, she trained in London at Kingsway Princeton College, Clerkenwell studying Jewellery & Art Metal and Sir John Cass studying Diamond Mounting & Jewellery Design.

After qualifying she worked in London’s West End, Hatton Garden and also the Brighton Lanes before taking time-out on a round-the-world backpacking trip! On her return she followed her dream and set up her own jewellery business! In 1993, with assistance from The Princes’ Youth Business Trust, Vicki set up the business offering a ‘complete jewellery service’ from bespoke commissions, repairs and remodelling, restringing and a hand engraving service, along with stocking what has grown into an extensive selection of desirable jewellery for all occasions!

With the growth of the business she joined forces with fellow jeweller Trevor Sheppard to manage the workload, each adding their own expertise. This team of trained jewellers have excelled and are passionate at creating jewellery working to the highest standards of British Craftmanship. With the busying shop Vicki was joined by her sister Julie Wilson, as General Manager, and subsequently Kim Hayes, as General Assistant.

Alongside the work from the public the Team have created their own jewellery Collections, all handmade in Worthing, inspired by the wonders of the natural forms that surround us! Being outdoorsy people, curious to their surroundings, and fortunate enough to live by the coast and surrounded by the beautiful South Downs helps them draw inspiration from the area’s flora and fauna.

VJG Jewellery has gained an enviable reputation for its professional and friendly service winning Retailer of the Year in 2016, Highly Commended in 2017 and Finalists in 2018 at the Adur & Worthing Business Awards. The Team are proud of accumulating such a loyal customer base and for all the positive testimonials and reviews that they receive affirming their great work.
